Another of the many reasons why we love this Texan home is this stunning outdoor terrace that opens up in the backyard leading to the pool and a lush green turf. Certainly creates an amazing contrast with the home’s entrance don’t you think?
In fact the homes on wheels featured in today’s post are not grand in scale. They’re not over-the-top in terms of style. And they’re anything but fancy inside. But here’s the appeal: they are cleverly designed to maximize space. And there’s something special about a dwelling that can be easily transported opening a world of possibilities…
Next we shine the spotlight on Paradigm a prefab home that made a splash at Greenbuild 2012 in San Francisco California. This series of homes was developed by Bogue Trondowski Architects in conjunction with Method Homes:
Water cascades and courses offer a unique and inimitable look to the home as they greet you every time you move between the main section of the residence and the private wings. Stone and wood complement the use of glass while stylish décor a modern kitchen and interesting art work give the home an exclusive appeal. Throw in the sleek fireplace warm lighting and a lush green garden and you have a complete and tasteful modern residence.
Extensive use of glass in the form of sliding floor-to-ceiling windows also offers for visual connectivity with the gorgeous garden in the back. Stylish pendant lighting and plush décor in darker hues offer a pleasant contrast to the white walls present throughout.
Every square inch counts in the kitchen which is why a series of wall-mounted shelves and hooks neatly house dishes pots pans and other utensils. Note how everything is accommodated yet the space feels anything but cluttered:
As we zoom in to get a close-up of the home’s exterior would you ever imagine that the inside of this place boasts Ponderosa pine ceilings bamboo flooring and even a kitchenette with marble counter tops? Then again given the ingenuity of the home’s designers is it really a surprise that this dwelling would be as spectacular on the inside as it is on the outside?
